Raw Materials comprise of everything harvested from nature that can be used to make other goods.
For the purposes of this article, ITEs are not included. Please see their separate article for more information.

Basic

Basic raw materials include wood, stone and mud, and are some of the easiest materials to find and stockpile.

Wood

Wood.png
Wood is the most basic of resources. It can be harvested en masse by chopping trees on the surface.

It is used in the creation of many, many items, eg: doors, utilities, walls and containers.

Stone

Stone.png
Stone can be found by mining underground. Stone tiles, dungeon walls and dungeon rooms all give stone. Dense stone can be mined with a Mineshaft for unlimited stone.

It too is used in many creations, such as different utilities and tools, other walls and several decorations.

Mud

Mud.png
Mud can be found by mining dirt or jungle tiles found underground.

It is used is a material in the production of glass and mud walls.

Sand

Sand.png
Sand can be found by mining sand tiles found underground.

It is used is a material in the production of glass and sand walls.

Special

Special materials are those harder to find than basic materials, but do not fit into any other categories, such as Ores or Gels.

Bone

Bone.png
Bones can be harvested from dead creatures, be it cows, pigs or even Townsfolk! They are available on the production menu but require a Butcher Table to be automatically harvested from Livestock.

Bone can be used to craft early weapons and armor as well as some furniture and decorations.

Snow Pile

Snow piles can be found by mining Snow tiles underground.

They can be gathered into Snow Buckets using the production menu.

Flint

Flint.png
Flint can be found by mining Gravel underground.

It is used to create Cooking Fires, which enable you to cook meat before making a stove.

Glass

Glass.png
Used to create windows. It can be created in the materials section of the auto-production menu. Glass is made from sand or mud and requires a smelter.

Ore

Ores are found by mining ore tiles underground, such as Copper and Iron. Except for silver and gold, they can all by mined indefinitely by building a Mineshaft on top of 4 adjacent tiles, but to mine it manually you'll have to dig down and use the mine command.

Coal

Coal tiles can be found in abundance on any layer of the dungeon, or even on the surface. Even surface coal can be mined with a Mineshaft, but you'll have to dig down and mine them underground to harvest coal manually.

Coal is used to craft torches and iron weapons and armor.

Copper

Copper.png
Copper tiles are also found in abundance regardless of floor, although they get even more common as you dig deeper.

Copper ore is used to make ITE items.

Iron

Iron.png
Iron is one of the most sought after ores. While iron tiles can be found on the surface, it is much more common the deeper you mine.

It is used to make iron weapons and armor as well as some kitchen utilities, including the Kitchen Stove, and even the Forge utilities.

Silver

Silver.png
Silver, like gold, is found very deep in the dungeon, from silver tiles.

It is used to make one of decorations, which increases the happiness and also to make silver armor and weapons.

Gold

Gold.png
Gold is found very deep in the dungeon, from gold tiles.

It is used to make decorations and also to make golden armor and weapons.

Gels

Gels are found on hostile slimes in the dungeon. They are dropped when the slimes are killed. They can be used to make gel engraved walls and gel roads.

Green Gel

Green gel drops from Green slimes.

It is used to make gel engraved green walls and green gel roads.

Red Gel

Red gel.png
Red gel drops from Red slimes.

Surprisingly, it is used to make gel engraved red walls and red gel roads.

Blue Gel

Blue gel drops, funnily enough, from Blue slimes.

Amazingly, it is used to make gel engraved blue walls and blue gel roads.

Heads

Heads are trophies taken from destroyed creatures of each type. They can be crafted into Monster Pole decorations.

Goblin Head

Goblins drop goblin heads.

They are used to make the Goblin pole decoration.

Hobgoblin Head

Hobgoblin head.png
The bigger cousins of the goblins, Hobgoblins drop hobgoblin heads.

They are used to make the Hobgoblin pole decoration.

Snicker Head

Snicker head.png
Sneaky snickers drop sneaky snicker heads.

Snicker heads make snicker pole decorations.

Ghoul Head

Ghoul head.png
Not to be confused with ghosts, Ghouls drop ghoul heads.

A ghoul head can be crafted into a Ghoul pole decoration.

Troll Head

Troll head.png
Troll heads drop from Trolls.

They can be used to craft Troll poles.
