Reason: "New mobs: Undead tree"
|
|
Hostiles exist to make life hard for the Townsfolk. They roam the surface and the dungeon and will attack anything they see, some being more aggressive than others.
If Townsfolk can manage to defeat them, many drop rare and useful items. However, they will need weapons and armor to accomplish such a feat.
Desert
Snakecrabs
Snakecrabs live on sand, which includes both beaches and deserts. Like other surface dwellers, they are relatively low-level denizens, but can pack a punch if attacked by an unarmed lone Civilian. They can drop snake teeth which is used in crafting wooden snake swords. They come in both Black and Yellow varieties.
Jungle
Amphibians
Amphibians roam the jungle of the surface. Against lone Townsfolk they can be trouble, but if attacked en masse they can quickly be exterminated.
Amphibians include Froggies and Toadies.
Brownies
Short, squat denizens of the jungle, Brownies' population consists of: Chieftan, Hunter, Warrior and Bat Rider.
Snow
Yetis
Yetis only come in white, and like to wander the snowy tundra, punching Reindeer.

Werepigs
Werepigs only come in one flavor, and are very, very mysterious.
Tree Keepers
Tree Keepers (also known as Tree Protectors) have the appearace of normal trees including their tooltip, until you try to chop them down. They then become live and aggressive. These hostiles may cause some problems early in the game as townsfolk try to gather wood. Note that only regular trees and pine trees can be disguised as a tree keeper.
